Simple Spring Inspiration For The Bedroom
Want to decorate a bedroom for Spring? It doesn’t have to mean a full-scale makeover, complete with a paint job. To keep with my theme of feminine yet simple, I’ve pulled together a palette of soft, fresh Spring colours and wicker textures. Use this mood board to inspire you to make a couple of simple changes in your bedroom this season. As with my other Spring mood boards, I’ve linked to sources in Australia but similar items are available globally.
Not So OTT on the Florals
When decorating your bedroom for Spring, the natural inclination of the vintage lover would be to head down the path of florals all the way or painting everything white. I love florals and use them a lot in our home but there is a danger that too much floral can look a little Laura Ashley 1990. Of course, that could be the vintage look you want, but if you want a simpler floral look try a modern floral blind or some pillow covers made from floral cotton. Make these the statement in your room and let other patterns be less bold.

Freshen Up the Bedding
Nothing beats a new set of bedding for Spring. It’s a good time to give all your bedding a wash and purchase new pillows if you need to. For my inspiration board, I’ve sourced linen sheets and cotton throws. A set of floral pillowcases or gorgeous gingham linen from Society of Wanderers would be perfect for a spring refresh. If you’re anything like us, a throw at the end of the bed is an essential item, even in Spring and Summer. The nights here can still be chilly. If you live in a hotter climate, natural bedding is a great way to keep cool. I love lots of layers on the bed as it allows all types of sleepers to be comfortable.

Decorate a Bedroom for Spring with Rustic Elements
This is where the country charm can really be ramped up. Freshen up your bedroom by adding a jute rug, a wicker pendant light or a wicker lamp. I love these touches in the bedroom to add another layer of warmth and farmhouse charm that doesn’t say ‘farmhouse’. These additions would work great with a coastal vintage or boho scheme too.
