I love Etsy. Since I’ve become more invested in functional handmade decor for my vintage kitchen, I’ve fallen more in love with the things you can buy there. I recently purchased some new mugs and while I was drinking my morning latte I decided I should share some of the items I’ve purchased. If you love authentic farmhouse kitchen decor as much as I do, you’ll fall in love too! There’s nothing more authentically vintage and farmhouse than one of a kind pieces. They’re handmade by Australian makers. They give that collected country feel to your home. And being handmade they will stand the test of time and be admired every time you use them
Farmhouse Kitchen Decor 1: Soy Candle in a Mason Jar
These candles come from Ivy & Wood. They’re made from soy wax and are scented with black raspberry and vanilla. Putting a candle in a jar is nothing new, but I love the trend of using mason jars or Fowlers jars. It means you can reuse the jar once the candle is gone. And they look uniquely country.
Farmhouse Kitchen Decor 2: Mini Pie Dishes
I bought a set of these mini pie dishes recently and made little frittatas in them for a girls’ lunch at the farm. You should have heard the gushes of delight over the cuteness. They’re just the right size for one serving. They look casual and rustic on a lunch table. I haven’t tried yet but I think a serve of Farmhouse Baked Beans topped with egg and cheese would also look yummy in these.
Farmhouse Kitchen Decor 3: Copper Measuring Spoons
A set of handmade copper measuring spoons are such a treat. They’re pretty enough to have hanging on display all the time. Not only that but they scream Farmhouse kitchen decor and will last a lifetime. I could not believe the quality and detail in a set of spoons. So pretty.
Farmhouse Kitchen Decor 4: Linen Bags for Bread
I’m more and more about sustainability. I’ve swapped our toothbrushes and am gradually replacing our plastic for glass and porcelain in the kitchen. I’ve also managed to get rid of any plastic wrapping by using beeswax wraps and these gorgeous linen bags. I used these for bread, scones, rolls, even cakes. They’re handmade and sustainable!
The Best Linen Apron
I don’t know when I became an apron person but I am now! I love my linen apron and with the amount of poop and stuff I regularly get on me it saves my clothes from washing all the time.
The Most Versatile Board
Last but not least this amazing handcrafted paddleboard/cheeseboard. I cannot tell you how versatile a board like this is. We’re talking a base for a vignette. (Mine is currently next to the stove with oils and a utensil holder on it). It’s also perfect for serving any course from entrees of sushi (done that too) to a grazing plate and even rustic mini desserts!
